Chapter Three

I was awoken by the farmhouse door slamming shut. The morning sun was bright outside. Jessie lay still, angelic as she rested.

I heard cursing and crashing as my hungover husband blundered through the kitchen downstairs.

Oh, shit. I sat bolt upright, then seized my lover.

'Wake up!' I whispered in Jessie's ear. 'Up!'

'Mmmmm,' she purred, sleepily pouting at me, blonde hair cascading down over her unbelievably pretty face as she stretched.

'Jessie, wake up!' I pulled the quilt off her body and gave her a powerful spank. I knew that would get her attention. 'You have to get under the bed!'

'What?'

'Now!' I shook her by the shoulders, making her look more beautiful than ever. 'Ethan is back!'

The sound of him stomping up the stairs grew louder, then the floorboards creaked outside the room. Jessie's eyes widened, then she vanished in a flash of blonde hair and creamy skin.

I tried to assume a pose of sleepy indifference as my husband entered.

'Hey, honey,' I asked, putting as much sweetness in my voice as I could manage. 'Did you have a good night?'

He didn't even manage a grunt in response. He didn't so much as look at me, even though I was lying there without a stitch of clothing on.

He fell heavily onto the bed, face down, smelling of booze. I winced, hoping Jessie wasn't right underneath him. He'd put on weight over the last few years.

I lay beside him for a couple of minutes, playing the part of the adoring wife, waiting for him to reach unconsciousness.

Before too long, he began to snore, great gouts of grinding noise emerging from his booze-matted face.

I climbed out of bed and leaned down.

'All right!' I whispered. 'Come on out!'

I grabbed Jessie's hand and helped her up, then ushered her out of the room.

I closed the door behind us, and we went straight to Jessie's room.

'Gee, that was close,' she said, and I had time to appreciate the sight of her again. She looked incredible, nude in the morning light, perfect.

I hugged her, laughing, reaching down to give her bottom an affectionate squeeze. 'Sure was.'

As much as I wanted to fall into bed with her all over again, we had things to do.

'All right,' I said. 'You'd better get some clothes on.' I hated myself for saying it, but it was true. We had a lot of preparations to make for our escape, and Ethan's drunken coma was a great opportunity.

'Will do.' She strode across the room, stepped into her knee-high boots, and pressed her wide-brimmed hat onto her head. Hands on her hips, she looked back over her shoulder and gave me a dazzling smile. 'There. All dressed.'

I gazed at her, my mouth watering. She was the most gorgeous sight I'd ever seen. Her tanned skin, the contours of her lithe body, her flowing golden hair, her wide hips, her luscious ass, the nipple peeking at me from the tip of one delicious breast-

'Damn, honey.' I shook my head. 'You're too pretty for your own good.'

She turned fully and walked over to me with long, hip-swaying strides.
